This is the twelfth year in which CEC and SMART Learning Systems have collaborated to offer the SMART School Academy.  The purpose of the Academy is to build sustainable district capacity for implementing the five-step, data-driven SMART School Improvement Process.

This Academy is planned as a combination of virtual training and in-person coaching.

Training schedule:

The Academy will be organized into 16 two-hour training modules clustered in 4 training sessions. The schedule will be published in January.

Coaching begins before Session I Training to help teams prepare. Teams will schedule their coaching sessions with their SMART Master Coach.

Benefits:

Each Academy participant receives 2 books, PowerPoints, Participant Manual, coaching style inventory, My SMART Journal for capturing reflections and notes, and access to online collaborative spaces on Google Drive, Schoology and dedicated Web pages.

Academy graduates have continuing access to updates of tools, training materials and other support. Administrator Credit will be available.
