The SMART School Academy is a year-long immersion in the SMART School Improvement Process, reflecting effective practice in training, coaching and professional learning. Participants learn the Process as they implement the Process in their district.

Training Dates

September 13 and 14, 2016

October 4 and 5, 2016

December 13 and 14, 2016

April 4 and 5, 2017

The training in September, October and December will be conducted in Rock Island. In April, Academy participants will join those attending the Chicago area SMART School Academy for combined training and sharing in Naperville.

Between these sets of training dates, Academy participants are coached by Certified SMART Coaches, to support their work in learning and implementing the SMART School Improvement Process.
