This is the eleventh year in which CEC and SMART Learning Systems have collaborated to offer the Illinois SMART School Academy.  The purpose of the Academy is to train and certify district teams in the application of the SMART School Improvement Process.

This year, the Academy training will be delivered using Zoom meeting technology and remote coaching. For details, please download the Overview and other documents that appear below.

Training schedule:

Four Sessions I will be held over the course of the school year, during the months of October and December in 2020, and February and April in 2021. Each Session includes 4 modules, with each module running 2 hours.

Coaching:

Participating teams are coached by a certified SMART Master Coach between the training sessions and following the final training session.

Benefits:

Each Academy participant receives 2 books, PowerPoints, participant manual, coaching style inventory, My SMART Journal, access to online collaborative spaces and continuing membership in the SMART Network.

Cost:

The cost of the year-long Academy is $2890 per participant. The Academy is limited in size to accommodate a deep, personalized learning experience. Your Academy team must include 2 or more representatives to build internal district capacity.
