This is the ninth year in which CEC and SMART Learning Systems have collaborated to offer the Illinois SMART School Academy for the purpose of training district teams in the application of the SMART School Improvement Process.

Training dates and location:

August 22 and 23, 2018 (with catch-up training on September 5 and 6 for those districts unable to participate on the August dates)

October 2 and 3

November 28 and 29

April 3 and 4, 2019

All of the training events will be held at National Louis University – 850 Warrenville Road in Lisle, IL 60532.

Coaching:

Participating teams are coached by a certified SMART Master Coach between the training sessions and following the final training session in April, 2019.

Benefits:

Each Academy participant receives 2 books, PowerPoints, instructor guides, participant manual, coaching style inventory, access to an online collaborative space and continuing membership in the growing SMART Network.

Cost:

The cost of the year-long Academy is $3200 per participant. The Academy is designed to build internal district capacity; as a result, district teams include 2 or more representatives.
